At this point, with less than 3 minutes on my clock, there was no point playing this game, so we shook our hands. Round 3 Turn 2įiona simply ran away and her army killed what was there to be killed. He charged something (Acosta blocked the Toro’s counter-charge first) and I hit Fiona again!!! And… left her on 1hp!! WHAT WAS GOING ON THERE! Alexia tried to hit her with her hand cannon but 14 to hit was too much. Charger missed both shots, Triumph missed too… Rightmost Strider hit!! And I rolled… 1, 1, 2 or sth like that for the damage roll under Siege’s feat… OOOOHH… but I still had the other Strider. Triumph needed 13, Charger 14s, and my Striders with RAT 8 needed 12s. Then, my warcaster walked up, cast Mage Sight and surprisingly hit Fiona, but Oskar shield guarded the shot, and one of the BPs got hit twice. Thamrite Archon hit one of the PKs, but the model failed to kill a Battle Priest. To do that, I had Charger, Triumph and 2 Storm Striders, together with Siege’s Ground Pounder obviously. Getting rid of all those shield guards wasn’t an issue honestly, but hitting Fiona, on the other hand, it was something totally different. After such a blow, I had to figure out how to get to Fiona, as I wasn’t too sure I could play the long game here (although in a hindsight I think I could have). As you can see I am still not accustomed to somebody else playing a Thamarite Archon : P using it myself is something totally different to playing against it. Oh dear, losing Caine0 in such a stupid way was so painful. What’s alsonimpprtant, Fiona had only 1 focus left. Later, enemy models put some damage on my leftmost Strider and Harlan scored a point on the flag. Oskar spotted it and took advantage of it to great effect. That was the mistake I could have and should have avoided. Mariner stepped in and managed to hit Caine, but the damage roll was truly terrible (that wasn’t the last time this game, wait for it) and Cine survived, ouch! Sadly, Fiona joined the hunting party and killed poor Caine with one of the spells. With 3 shots he wrecked my Risen screen, Triumph shield guarded another shot and the third killed a handful of mechanics. Round 2 Turn 2Īaaaand… boom Thamarite Archon was on fire. ![]() Sadly, I activated the important pieces before Siege, and I couldn’t fir them in a new Fox Hole… Nobody scored any points. My leftmost Strider stayed way back and contested the circular zone. I managed to kill enemy Hermit on the flag and killed some more models with electro leaps. That was the turn I messed up my positioning and didn’t take Thamrite Archon’s ability to wreck back lines : P I repositioned slightly and put Caine0 behind Risen who were immune to spells. ![]() Also, Mariner and Thamarite Archon put some serious damage on my battle engine. We had some issues with measuring properly, if she has to charge over the wall (thanks Sverre for your patience haha) but it was so difficult to measure we decided that Oskar simply activated Throne first and gave pathfinder to Fiona. Oskar went all in, Fiona feated and charged my leftmost Storm Strider and ended her movement right behind the rock. Siege cast Fox Hole in the middle to hide my valuable pieces there. Some of my models ran forward, Alexia created a Thrall who ran toward enemy lines and got shot with a lightning in the back, the electro leaps, or rather a single leap, killed one Vigilant. ![]() Fiona cast Roth’s Mercy on Vigilants and Occultation on PKs. DeploymentĪll the enemy models ran forward, leaning closer to the rock on the left. Oskar deployed his infantry in the middle with warjacks and Thamarite Archons on the flanks. On the sides, everything in between, with an exception of two Chargers deployed I deployed in a regular way, with battle engines Sadly, in this case, the terrain was going to be a I decided to go second and get the side with aįlag right behind the rock. Matchup-wise, but I was afraid that the terrain placement will have a huge Oskar picked Fiona1 and that was his list: Oskar had Fiona and Magnus2, so I decided to go for Siege1. In the first round we were to play against a Swedish team and as a result of the whole pairing process I was to play against Oskar and his lovely Rainbow Mercenaries ) Jakub, after 5 rounds on Friday, decided to switch back to Protectorate for the sake of our team hahah. My friend Jakub, that I faced in Round 3 of the tournament agreed to build a team together and he invited Hans, a Norwegian Skorne player, to join us. After a long walk from my friend’s place I arrived at the hotel, where that day we were going to have a team tournament.
